   Greetings!

This is to inform you that the Ministry of Education has accepted the recommendation made by the Committee of Management in July 2008, with the approval of the Jamaica Methodist District for the appointment of Mr. Deanroy Bromfield (l.)as Principal of Excelsior.

The Committee of Management at its extraordinary meeting on Monday last, accepted the appointment, which is provisional, in the first year, in accordance with the Ministry's guidelines.

This morning all staff members were advised and welcomed M. Bromfield who begins work tomorrow, May 1, 2009.

The Committee of Management has expressed its depth of gratitude to Mrs. Allison Peart for her contribution during the school year as acting Principal.

We look forward to working with Mr. Bromfield and are enlisting the support of all stakeholders, confident that we already have it.

Next week, we will be meeting with the coaches of the various sports to ensure that we are well coordinated in the coming year and to identify means of funding our ambitious sports programmes.
