Dr. Marcia P. Livingston

Dr. Marcia Livingston has over 22 years teaching experience at both the K-12 and University levels. She has proven her leadership skills in several areas. She has served as the Academic Program Director for the Business Program at Florida Metropolitan University, with responsibilities that included the supervision and evaluation of faculty and the advisement of over 350 business students.

She is also the director and founder of WORD Motivational Ministries, Inc. an organization focused on equipping women with tools that will help them become better nurtures and influencers in their immediate and extended communities. She also served as faculty advisor to Student Government and faculty advisor and coordinator of Inter-School Christian Fellowship. Her professional memberships include National Association of Female Executives, Black Professional Women Association, and Empire Who’s Who, Oklahoma Teachers of English as a Second Language Association (OKTESOL) and Oklahoma Association for Bilingual Education (OABE), International Third World Leaders Association.

Ms. Livingston is bilingual with the ability to speak, read, and write Spanish and English and read French. She is also able to network and work with individuals from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

Ms. Livingston is a good listener, communicator and motivator. Listed among her best assets is her uncanny ability and devotion to take young people who have no direction, hope or confidence, and nurture and disciple them to success for God’s glory. In this regard she has not spared time, or personal resources to ensure “her children’s” good. This distinguishes her from many other Christian educators and those in her professional field. She currently teaches full time as a professor at Oral Roberts University, coordinating the Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) program in the School of Education, and does adjunct work with St. Gregory and Phoenix universities.
