Another day, another honor!
In the latest of many tributes to his pursuit of excellence, Ambassador Courtney Walsh is featured in a series of souvenir stamps issued by Jamaica Post.

The Courtney Walsh Stamps, issued to celebrate Jamaica’s participation in hosting the Cricket World Cup 2007, are available in $30 and $50 denominations. The honor comes on the heels of a raft of other honors that the Excelsior luminary has received over the years.
Many believe this is another fitting tribute to an individual some consider, along with Miss Lou, one of the most lauded symbols of the Excelsior ethos in the school’s more than 75 years of existence.
This most recent accolade follows similar worldwide recognition that Ambassador Walsh has received over the years from the governments of Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, India, the Excelsior Alumni Association (USA), Inc. and the International Cricket Council for his sterling character and for his prowess on the cricket field.
Since entering Excelsior circa 1977-78, Courtney has remained engaged with his alma mater and has brought honor to the school through his quiet dignity and pursuit of excellence in his craft.
With more than 30 years of unbroken service to the school, Ambassador Walsh has freely given of his time and resources to assist Excelsior.
