Class of '77  to Celebrate  30th Anniversary

Wednesday,  August 15, 2007

Although almost three decades have passed, memories will still hold strong as Excelsior's Class of 1977 prepares to mark its 30th Anniversary Reunion with a slew of events in Jamaica, October 24-28, 2007.

Wine, memories and song will intermingle as the group returns to the "scene of the crime" to exchange anecdotes and to relive some of its schoolday escapades of some 30 years ago.

(L-R) Noelene Johnson, Paulette Mullings Bradnock and Althea Brown-Robinson, here sharing   a light moment with Karen Barnes ('75),will join their 1977 class mates for a 30th Anniversary Reunion in Jamaica

"Come as you are, come as you were" could very well be the theme as the group gathers in Jamaica to embark on its nostagic journey and try to recapture an era when disco held sway and platform shoes were the rage of the day.

But it will not be all fun and frivolity as Althea Brown-Robinson, one of the chief organizers, promises a delicate mix of mirth and merriment, and more sobering activities such a health seminar to highlight some of the issues that will begin to concern individuals in their age category.
